Ngāti Whakaue whānau are the foundation of our leadership
Nau mai, haere mai ki te kāinga matihiko o Te Komiti Nui o Ngāti Whakaue.
We are the rōpū entrusted with the significant responsibility of leading our iwi, ki uta ki tai, through the Treaty Settlement journey. This mahi is grounded in the principle of making mokopuna decisions — choices that prioritise the well-being and prosperity of future generations.
Our role is to ensure that the claimants’ statements of claim, voices, aspirations, and mana of Ngāti Whakaue are upheld and carried forward throughout this process. This journey is not just about settling past grievances—it is about creating a stronger, more prosperous future for our people, our whenua, and those yet to come.
